At Ameritune, you get to pick your DJ. Everyone knows that the Disc Jockey can make or break the party, but have you ever considered that all Chicago DJs are different? Whether you are looking for an interactive Schaumburg DJ for a graduation party, or an elegant Barrington DJ for a 50th anniversary, we’ve got the right entertainer for you. We have video demos, filmed at real weddings for all our DJs. You can see short versions of these demos by clicking on the meet our DJs page, and then on each DJ’s picture. We have longer demos available to view at our conveniently located Hoffman Estates area office, and we’d love to meet with you at your convenience.
If you’d rather see our DJs playing live, we play all over the Chicagoland area. We can send you out to see a Streamwood wedding DJ, an Arlington Heights Anniversary DJ, a Chicago birthday party, a Hoffman Estates Holiday Party DJ, a Palos Hills Corporate Event DJ , or even a Rockford Retirement Party DJ. Whatever works best for you. It’s usually easiest to start with our demos online.

What about experience? We’ve been in business since 1983. Most of our DJs have been DJing since the early 90’s, so I guess you can say we know what we’re doing.

Music? Our DJs always carry everything on our complete songlist. If it’s not on our list, we’ll arrange to get it, assuming its gettable. When you hire Ameritune, you are the boss and we’ll do what you say as far as music goes. We’ll play your must plays, and won’t play your don’t plays. You’ll go over all that stuff with your DJ prior to your event.

Details? We insist that you cover all details with your DJ prior to your event. When you book with us, we’ll give you a worksheet that will help you get organized, and make suggestions to help with your event specifics. When you are ready, you’ll go over the plan with your DJ, so that your event runs as smoothly as possible.

Insurance? We carry a $2 million liability policy, and we’ll work with your hall to provide proper riders, etc.

Packages- We include dance lighting, wireless mics and backup equipment with all of our DJs. Some of our DJs offer intelligent lighting, live dinner music and Karaoke.

Videography- Wedding video is the other half of Ameritune DJs and Video. We shot our first wedding in 1989, and we’ve had a lot of experience shooting all types and styles of weddings. We currently offer three different video packages as well as a photo montage service that we call the Ameritune Big Screen Presentation.
Our videographers are very discreet and are trained to remain in the background, silently capturing and preserving your most important moments. We use two cameras during the ceremony, as well as wireless mics to capture every nervous “I do”.
Why two cameras? Because that extra camera often gives us a very usefull second view to edit together with the first camera, making your ceremony more interesting. TV shows often use multiple cameras for that very same reason. Also, since most churches really don’t want us moving around during the ceremony, that second camera can come in real handy. Of course we are always willing to work within your churches guidlines.
Editing is the key to having a beautiful wedding video. Wedding video with not much editing, or rushed editing is boring and amateurish compared to a video that has been edited for 40 or 50 hours by a professional. We do all our editing on Apple computers, and we take the time to make things look right. We encourage our clients to select music to be used as background during our baby picture, recap and titling chapters, and we can edit to your specifications. Many of our clients end up ordering extra copies as gifts for siblings, parents and grandparents.

Ameritune Big Screen Presentation- Most people call this a photo montage. You give us your pictures and select music for the background and we do the rest. We recommend it be 50 pictures long. That’s about five minutes, which is not too long to be boring, but long enough to be a fun event. We recommend showing the DVD after desert has been served, while your guests are still eating.
This way, you are not extending the dinner and you give your guests something interesting to watch, while setting the mood for dancing. If you prefer to make your own on computer or DVD, we can provide the equipment to show it at your event.
