One of our most requested DJs, Jim Schneeberger “Shnee” was discovered way back in 1991 at a Streamwood wedding at the Seville, as a guest announcer. Back then, the Bulls were big time in Chicago and he was doing a modified Bulls intro. He introduced the flower girl as a three foot two inch Guard from Sunnydale Kindergarden, and had everyone laughing and having a good time. I thought he was a real Chicago DJ, but he was actually a guest at the wedding. He really sounded just like Ray Clay (The real Bulls announcer). Well, we know talent when we see it, and Jim was such a natural that we hired him on the spot. That was over 1600 parties ago, and Jim still really “gets into” your party. One of the reasons why he’s so popular is that he’s very warm, approachable and accommodating with guests. Some DJs frown on taking requests. Not Jim- He prides himself on playing as many requests as possible. He loves kids, and even brings little kiddy fun bags with him to keep them entertained during dinner. His great attitude, infectious enthusiasm, unbelievable voice, and legendary crowd reading skills have packed dance floors since 1991. As far as equipment goes, Jim uses JBL 18 inch 3 way speakers, a wired and wireless mic, QSC amps, Denon CD players, and an Ipod. His generous array of dance lighting includes tasteful slow and fast dance effects and we include them at no extra charge. If you have a party of more than 300 people, you’ll want to include an extra set of speakers and amp, available for a nominal fee. Jim always sets up before your guests arrive and you are only charged for playing time. Setup and takedown time is on us. Of course, all of our DJs carry backup equipment with them in case of emergency. Ameritune carries a two million dollar liability insurance plan.

In addition to DJs and Wedding Video, Ameritune also offers a deluxe Photo Montage service that we call- The Ameritune Big Screen Presentation. It’s a real ice breaker, and party starter. We like to make it about five minutes long. That seems to be the perfect length to give you substance, but not so long that is bores your guests. You supply the pictures and pick the music, we’ll do the rest. We recommend that you show your Big Screen Presentation during dessert, so people can eat and watch, and oooh, and ahhh, and laugh, and laugh some more….If you would like to make your own slideshow, Ameritune can provide and set up all the equipment to show it, as well as run the sound through our speakers. Our fees are reasonable and our service is unbeatable!
